MoneySky — a dashboard that runs on your day

The sun travels across the app exactly like it travels across your day. Your money has weather. Your spending builds a skyline. Every time you open the app, the sky has something new to say.

ApproachAssumptionsWhy it changesWhy users return

Approach. MoneySky treats money as a living scene instead of a ledger. The dashboard is a window to "your money's day": the sun physically moves across the app as the day passes, so the three states are sunrise (9 AM), high noon (2 PM) and sunset (5 PM) — one continuous sky, not three different screens. At sunrise the screen is a launchpad: a money-weather forecast, today's mission, and ritual nudges. At high noon it becomes a reward hub: a "heatwave" warning for the peak-spending hour, a sun-time countdown to 2× cashback, and a sun-path gauge that shows how much freedom is left. At sunset it turns into reflection: the day's transactions literally grow into a city skyline (each building = a purchase, sized by spend), so the user can see where their day went and whether it landed under budget. Same balance, same user, same data — but the emotional job changes with the light.

Assumptions & why it works. Assumed a salaried user (Aarav) with a daily budget, commute and recurring bills, plus learning signals like streaks and category history. The dashboard changes because people's money decisions cluster around mealtimes and end-of-day reflection — plan at sunrise, act at noon, reflect at sunset — and mirroring the real sky makes the change feel natural, not gimmicky. Users return because every visit has a new sight and a reason: a weather forecast that teases the day, a deal that expires with the sun, a skyline that grows as they spend, and a streak to protect — so opening OneBanc feels like checking a living scene, and each open delivers a small insight or win. The app is fully multilingual — English, हिन्दी, मराठी, Français and Español — so the same living scene works for every user, local and international. A one-tap dark theme (moon icon in the status bar) keeps the sky readable at night and is remembered between visits. One more thing: opening this URL right now will load the view appropriate to your local time — the sky matches your clock. Tap the LIVE pill in the status bar and the dashboard follows the sun in real time, gliding from sunrise to noon to sunset as your day does.
